Pastor Antonio Mason Baker Sr. is a native of Woodford, Virginia. He is the youngest of six children born to proud parents Deacon Lloyd and Deaconess Geneva Baker. He gave his heart to the Lord Jesus Christ at an early age at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Woodford, Virginia. Reverend Baker attended and graduated from Caroline County Public Schools.  Upon his high school graduation, he enlisted and served in the United States Army for over twenty-three years retiring with the rank of Chief Warrant Officer Three. He is also a graduate of Virginia State University. Reverend Baker joined the Second Baptist Church in Chester, Virginia under the pastorate of Reverend Johnnie Fleming, Jr. After several years of Christian discipleship and serving as a deacon, he received and responded to the call of the Lord to proclaim the gospel message. He was licensed to preach in December 1995 and ordained in October 1997. Since then, his ministry has been marked by many people coming to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, as well as numerous people growing in and through the ministry of Christian discipleship. He was privileged to serve as an associate to the pastor of the Second Baptist Church. Throughout those years, the Lord was developing him for pastoral ministry and in December 1997, God anointed this preacher to serve as under shepherd to lead and guide His flock at the Third Mount Zion Baptist Church. Reverend Baker has served as the pastor of Third Mount Zion Baptist Church for nearly eighteen years. He is a pastor that has a heart for the people of God, a sincere love for His Word, and one who has been favored by an anointing of God. During his pastorate, Third Mount Zion has experienced phenomenal growth in its membership, spirituality, ministries, and resources. The congregation has also been challenged to grow higher in God and prompted to greater unity in prayer, purpose, and Godly servitude. Through his unadulterated and uncompromising deliverance of God’s Word, souls have been edified and lives have been enhanced. He is in the flesh what all of us need to be reminded still exists – a God-fearing man of courage, dignity, compassion and vision.
